let's get to know each other
My name is Jamie
I have always been drawn to the art of helping others. Since 2006, I have worked as a Registered Nurse and Lactation Consultant, providing care to the perinatal community in Campbell River, BC.
The inception of Nurtured Nest Counselling emerged from my enduring aspiration to extend my support to the perinatal community in the field of mental health, following the completion of my Master's degree in Counselling Psychology.
About Me:
I call beautiful Vancouver Island on the West Coast of Canada my home sweet home. I wear many hats, including being a mom to four fantastic kids, covering the whole age spectrum from toddlers to teens. By day, you can find me at our local hospital, where I am an RN, taking care of folks in the labour & delivery and postpartum units.
But life is not just about parenting, partnering, and nursing for me. I'm all about leisurely beach walks with my Goldendoodle, camping adventures in the backcountry, and savoring every flavor of bubbly water under the sun. When I'm not getting my hands dirty in my dahlia garden, you can bet I'm diving into a good book.
I understand that the journey into parenthood is filled with challenges. Whether you are going through pregnancy, preparing for birth, navigating the postpartum period, or facing feeding challenges, I'm here to support you. I hold a deep appreciation for connection, laughter, and personal growth, and relish the opportunity to help clients discover more about themselves.
